Fire Dampers
The fire dampers “mcr“, have been specially designed to compartment ducts that pass through different fire sectors as the existing regulations on fire protection require.
THE NEED TO COMPARTMENTALIZE
Nowadays, the passive fire protection is focused on the sectorisation of the building to prevent smoke, toxic gases and fire from being spread between different sub-sectors within the same building.
In order to guarantee the proper partitioning of the different fire sectors, it is essential to install fire dampers in the ducts and walls. We will use the model of fire damper that best meets the required needs.
TRIGGERING MECHANISM
Fire dampers have a wide variety of actuation options to meet customer needs.
The damper can be driven in three ways:
- By a thermal type actuator placed inside the valve, i. e. driven by temperature.
- By electromagnetic servomotor in case of power failure, 24 Vdc or 220 Vac.
- By the solenoid mechanism when the electric power is supplied, 24Vdc or 220Vac.
TYPES
mercor tecresa® dampers are available in several configurations: rectangular fire dampers, round fire dampers, multi-zone fire dampers, multizone fire dampers, multi-leaf fire dampers, fire dampers for ATEX certified explosion risk areas and fire valves. Fire dampers are made of different materials such as galvanized steel, stainless steel, etc…..
The advantages
Types of Fire Dampers
Rectangular
Low-resistance fire damper and a single blade for ventilation
Rectangular fire dampers are certified to comply with EN 15650, EN 13501-3 and EN 1366-2 standards. They are designed for installation in general ventilation systems. Optional manufacturing in stainless steel or according to ATEX regulations for applications in hazardous areas.
Circular
Low resistance round blade fire dampers for ventilation systems.
The circular fire dampers are certified according to EN 15650, EN 13501-3 and EN 1366-2. They are designed for installation in comfort ventilation systems. Optional manufacture in stainless steel or in accordance with ATEX regulations for applications in hazardous areas.
Multi-Leaf
Multi-leaf fire damper for ventilation systems.
The multi-leaf fire dampers are certified to comply with EN 15650, EN 13501-2, EN 13501-3, EN 13501-4, EN 1366-2, EN 1366-10 and EN 12101-8 standards. They are designed for installation in general ventilation systems. Optional manufacture in stainless steel or in accordance with ATEX regulations for applications in hazardous areas.
Multizone
Single-blade fire damper for multi-zone ventilation systems.
The multi-zone fire dampers are certified to comply with EN 12101-8, EN 13501-4 and EN 1366-10 standards. They are designed for use in general ventilation installations.
Fire Valves
Circular Duct Sealing Valves.
The fire valves are certified to comply with EN 15650, EN 13501-3 and EN 1366-2 standards. They are designed to be installed at the ends of the general ventilation system, where ducts pass through building partitions.
